The Maritime Lifeline
that Set Sail from the Yangtze
Founded in 1925 in Hechuan, Chongqing by entrepreneur Mr. Lu Zuofu, Minsheng was built on the belief that "shipping was not merely about moving cargo, but the vital artery that connects industries and drives national prosperity."
Amid turbulent times, the Minsheng fleet reclaimed inland navigation rights and upheld national dignity. In 1938, the fleet completed the historically celebrated "Yichang Great Retreat" — moving tens of thousands of civilians and industrial equipment to safety under enemy fire, earning the title "China's Dunkirk."
Today, Minsheng Group has transformed from a traditional shipping company into a modern integrated logistics group, actively participating in Yangtze River Economic Belt development and China–Europe Railway operations.
